This isn't difficult to solve, it's just boring and extremely irritating. At times there are hordes of trivially killed enemies which do nothing but waste time, and while there are a lot of different enemy types it doesn't seem like there was much thought put into making them interesting to fight. The bosses are easy to beat but damage sponges, so it's just boring to fight them. I never felt like anything was particularly challenging, more like the game keeps wasting my time and dragging things out. The story is also pretty lackluster, and honestly I would prefer no story at all in this case. The kids who keep offering inane commentary are annoying.. Can write a review cause i can't play the game. I get a runtime error everytime i try to start the stupid game. i got to play the first dungeon then saved and went back to it and i hasn't opened since. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!. It's a shameless ripoff of A Link to the Past, and that's not a bad thing by my books.. Seems nice but not good enough.. Beautifully made retro-Zelda-like game, with a female lead, and some family-friendly humour.I came across this on /r/NintendoSwitch and have bought it to show my support for the developers bringing the game to the Switch.I'd also like to give respect to the developer for releasing a nice little demo to play before buying, it help solidify my decision to support it.Great to also see seamless controller support as I grabbed my DS4 already paired from some earlier gaming (DS4Tool) to find it just works instantly and the icons show the relevent Xbox pad buttons instead ofthe Keyboard keys.So in case it's not clear, PLEASE PORT THIS TO NINTENDO SWITCH, it's the perfect form factor for pick up and play of this great little game!. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BROKEN GAME>Game worked fine till thy updated it in Feb 2018, now it never launches for me, and I can't refund due to time in game, and it's been more than 2 weeks since i bought it.Devs have no answer, nor a fix, nor a beta path to try - they have literally no answers, they direct users to send support emials - seems like they never respond to anyone, though.I'd like to see the devs fix this♥♥♥♥♥♥untik then , big fat thumbs down, stay away from this broken game.. 8/10 aesthetic, 10/10 sound design, 12/10 charm. The game is beautiful, and the world is super charming with a stellar framing device of a grandfather telling his grandkids a story. The combat is servicable, and can actually be a lot of fun where you have to manage stamina and items and sword swings. They get a whole lot of mileage out of relatively simple combat mechanics, and it can be really engaging when you're in a room filled with dudes with shields you can't hit from the front, and have to manage a game of stay-away-from-the-baddie while you take pot shots with the bow when you get an opportunity for a side or back shot, or position yourself for return hits with the boomerang. It's really great stuff, and some of the boss fights are really great. The sound and music design is aces. And in the beginning, the puzzles weren't too bad, nothing Zelda games haven't done in the past. Sliding block puzzles, find the bit of wall to blow up. Maybe recycled a few too many times, but no biggie.Well, the puzzles get real stupid real quick. There are three or four puzzles that get reused a thousand times, and the Simon says puzzles get to be far too long. No, Castle Pixel, I'm not willing to endure having to take out my phone to record a pattern on my TV, then play it back so I can get all 14 notes of this "puzzle" after I've done the same thing for the 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 notes that came immediately before it in the same room. And if you get one note in those notes wrong, it resets from the beginning, so there's a whole new 100-odd notes to deal with. There's a reason puzzles and bosses in most games follow the rule of 3. Tedious, overlong repetition puzzles aren't engaging. I actually got really into the last dungeon's really quite creative puzzles, and it was right back to the singing stones and I just rolled my eyes and uninstalled the game. Whatever comes after those singing stones, it's just not worth dealing with the singing stones. Also, there's no colorblind mode in spite of a lot of pastel colors used in color-based puzzles, which is a pretty terrible user experience design decision. I had to have my wife do some of the Hamiltonian path puzzles not because they were difficult (nothing in the game could be fairly described as "difficult", though I don't think that's a bad thing), but because the path tiles were the same color to me before and after stepping on them, and the same color as the border tiles. Also, there are three potion types you can get but they all look identical, and there are no tooltips in your inventory to tell you which potion is what, so the potions are basically unusable if you can't differentiate the colors. If I have to boil it down to a simplistic "Yay!" or "Boo!", it's hard to recommend a game with such glaring mistakes that I uninstalled instead of finishing when I was already in f the home stretch. It's most of a really good game, almost great at its core, hamstrung by only a handful of quite poor decisions. But this game has so much goodstuff going on that I can't stand the thought of implying that it's bad.If you're a developer, or interested in game design, or really in need of a classic Zelda-esque feel, I definitely think you should check it out, and you probably won't regret spending fifteen bucks on it. I know I don't.. A tribute to the legend of zelda: a link to the past. Not as long or as good but it's still a great game. Epic dungeons and brutal boss battles that will force you to explore the world for gear in preparation. Blossom Tales Reviewhttps://youtu.be/5iVsglLQFe4Many games try to create the same look and feel of Zelda but fall far of the mark. Blossom Tales is thankfully not a flash in the pan game. The art style is great and different with it blown up overly large square pixel are that still manages to convey the cute and playful style of a Zelda Like game. Lighting is another key feature of this game that gives off the glow of touches and sun beam, even the gloomy atmosphere of the dungeons and swamp area is nice. The sprite animation is good too, because with the limited space for animation due to the size of the sprites the designer still manages to make it seem very real and relatable with the emotion and action portrayed well not needing the Japanese trop of action bubbles.Sound is a big thing in this game having a meaty heft yet colourful humour at the same time. What I mean is that the sound are reminiscence of the old 16-bit games of yore where the sound are similar to the ting and crashing from that time but been expanded on and given reverbed and greater sound scape to give the sound effects a realism of their own. Music is great as well having a feel for the great Zelda tunes but making the tune their own. So, at times you will be playing and humming the tunes and thinking this sounds so like Zelda, nice compilation.Getting to the simple point of it the game is fun. Zipping along with a sword and shield facing all the challenges that the world has to offer. But like all games of this type you have a list of quest to finish in order to complete the game. The king is in a magical slumber that can only be broken from collecting three special items to make a potion to break the curse. So off you go beating bosses and collecting stuff. The twist is that this is story being told by Grandpa to his two grandchildren who frequently talk during the game also inject opinions that are funny and add a real difference to the game play. This is a great game with lovely reto graphic, bopping soundtrack, nice sound and a story that is different from your run of the mill Zelda clones
